How about carrying an abacus and becoming a level 13 bookkeeper?

A Remington portable manual typewriter should work in dungeon situations. Just the thing a cleric needs when you have to whip off a memo for the boss in the heat of battle.

Oh, and don't forget some candles so you don't get this message:

"It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue."

A 300MW mining laser and a docking computer. An ECM is useful, but can be costly.

I take it your most harmless Danivon, my all time favourite game.

I guess it would depend on which edition you're playing. If it's 4e, I'm not familiar enough with it to advise. Any other edition, I'd go with something blunt, a shield and try not to wear something too heavy (since you'll be running around trying to keep your front line standing Wink )

Just ignore them. Clerics are fairly decent fighters on top of being good casters so I'd recommend a shield, medium armor and maybe a mace or bow. For the most part it comes down to personal taste in weapon type, armor and shields. If you plan on staying back out of range of the enemy then a bow and quiver are helpful, but having a melee weapon is a must. As a cleric, the enemy will almost always want to get into melee range with you to keep you from healing others. Other things to carry would be a holy symbol, rope, at least a week's worth of rations, backpack and a waterskin. Those are pretty basic things though and for the most part depends on how much of a stickler the DM is for basic necessities (and how much time you spend on the road). You also need to look at your spells and see if they have material components.

Hope this helps. Good luck, and have fun.

I think it's the name--"Bad Luck Lady" is probably the cause.

I spent my entire adult life avoiding D and D. I remember in the Army some guys wanting to play. They knew I played games so they invited me to join them. I asked, "How do I win?"

"You don't 'win,' you build your character."

"Psh! That's what real life is for."

I also avoided Magic: The Goobering.

Unbelievably, I fell for Lord of the Rings Online. Somehow, I like building those characters. Long live Middle Earth!

Oh, sorry, I digress. Indeed, good luck, Ladymalasuerte.

hey, hows about some duct tape?
Duct tape can be used for just about anything including fixing the nose bridge of your eye glasses. You know, standard geek equipment!?

Except, I hate the guys who use duct tape to get through the mission, but then later don't get the thing fixed, you remind them, they forget, then later it's balls to the wall role playing and everything in their pack is falling apart.
