About REP
The Replacement Exchange Programme (REP for short) is a support framework for members of the Redscape community who both play and GM games on the site.

Basically, members of REP earn credits for committing to play out replacement positions advertised by other REP members who are GMing and having difficulty filling a position. REP members spend thier credits by calling on other REP members when they need a difficult position replaced.

In this way, REP is intended to help GMs keep thier games moving and to avoid unneccessary delays. Overall, REP is intended to help Redscape and its community maintain quality and momentum in games and to support a positive experience for all players and GMs alike.

The procedure for using REP is straight forward :-

To sign up for REP
* Simply express your interest (along with your email address) with a reply in this thread and you will be added to the list with a starting balance of zero (0) credits

To find a REP replacement
* You must first be a member of REP and have a credit balance greater than negative five (-5)

* Post your replacement advertisement in the "Wanted : Replacement Players" forum as per normal

* Mass-Email the REP membership with a subject line of "Redscape REP : [Insert Nation] wanted" and in the email body post the hyperlink of your post advertising the position in the replacement forum

* As soon as a REP member accepts the position, post a reply to your advertisement advising the position as being filled

To accept a REP replacement
* First wait until an email is sent to the REP membership

* Go to the advertising post and reply publically that you will take the position

* Wait for the REP GM to confirm you have been accepted

* Post your name, the GMs name and the game name in this thread and your credits will be updated

To transfer credits
* Post your name, the REP members name who you wish to receive your credits and the number of credits to transfer in this thread and your credits will be updated

To resign from REP
* Post your desire to resign in this thread and you will be removed from the register and no longer receive REP emails

There are a couple of basic rules of REP that are needed :-

* You must not intentionally run a replacement position into the ground or seek elimination

* If your credit standing is negative five (-5) then you can not mass mail the REP membership seeking further replacements

* You must not send excessive or unrelated email to the REP membership

* You cannot transfer credits to another member that will put your credit total below zero (0)

* If you resign from REP and have a negative credit total, it will be reinstated if you decide to rejoin

Note : Any deliberate breach of these simple rules can be grounds for your exlusion from REP.

At this stage, while REP is trialling, I will maintain the credit balance sheet and act as ombudsman. If REP expands and becomes popular we will elect a council from the membership to handle administrative needs.

While there would appear to be no shortage of replacements for the games advertised recently, I think a list of 'reliable regulars' can only help the community. I also mix a near-perfect black russian.

what a time for my electricity to got! Thanks for all the responses the position was filled this morning before I lost power.

Perhaps this thread should be marked as an announcement so it doesn't get lost as people post to the Gaming discussion forum.

That would be ideal, Christine.
I dont have the priveledges required to do that.....but you do Wink

Even better perhaps would be if it could be stickied up in the actual replacements forum. That way whenever someone wants to post for a replacement position or take one on, they are reminded that there's always the REP Membership they can turn to if all else fails.

REP can be beneficial to both GMs in filling tough positions quickly, aswell as players who dont check the forum and would prefer email notification of available positions.

New members added.

rolls, if you do end up needing an England in DARKSTAR, that looks like the kind of mercy position that would be tough to fill and a good job for REP.
Just email the REP Membership.
